About Me
My name is Jennifer Silliman and I am a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500), Certified Wellness Coach (CWC), and a Reiki Level II Practitioner. Chrysalis Yoga provides personalized private yoga therapy sessions, group yoga classes, retreats, and wellness coaching custom tailored to meet your specific needs.
Welcome! I am excited to share the transformative power of yoga with you. My yoga journey started 10 years ago when I decided to just try out a yoga class. I knew instantly there was something special about yoga and how it made me feel. Having a background in dance, I loved connecting movement with the breath. My yoga practice for many years was inconsistent though, and I struggled with making myself a priority. However, I kept feeling a gravitation towards yoga and when I was at a place to commit more to my yoga practice, the transformation I experienced was profound at a time in my life when I needed it most.
As a Yoga Therapist, I enjoy sharing the transformative powers of yoga through private yoga therapy sessions, group classes, workshops, events, and even abroad at all-inclusive resorts. I enjoy working with clients that range from the simply yoga curious and completely new to yoga, or have had minimal to moderate yoga experience. I specialize in Yoga Therapy for chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, hormonal changes, and psychosomatic symptoms. I will curate our sessions to meet your needs incorporating elements of yoga, mindfulness practices, guided meditation, and breathwork.
As a Wellness Coach, I provide support through a holistic perspective, supporting individuals with improving their overall health and wellness. I also specialize in working with women navigating through hormonal changes during perimenopause/menopause.
Aside from yoga, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and have worked in the child welfare field for the past 17 years. In addition, I have been an Adjunct Professor for 10 years teaching courses in Social Sciences and Social Work. I have clinical training in mental health, trauma, and addiction. I understand the importance and value of intentional self-care. Through my work as a LCSW-C, as well as my own life experience, I have come to appreciate the strong connection between the body, mind, heart, and spirit. When that connection is nurtured and empowered, miracles of transformation occur. All you need is an open heart and a willing spirit, and allow me to support you through your own personal transformation.
